Update - World Best Time
I have got back into training again since a break after the Commonwealth Games, I have had a few set backs with the usual winter cold illnesses and just getting used to fitting my training around the work that I am doing.
So I was pleasantly surprised to go to Groningen 4 Mile race in Holland and run pretty well. The race was won by Viola Kibiwot of Kenya in a time on 19.23 and I finished a respectable 5th in 20.39 which I later found out is a Master's 40 World Best!! Yay!
I have also been getting busier with my 1:1 coaching sessions and sports massage as well as working in a local gym. Please contact me if you want to book a massage or personal coaching session.
Last weekend I ran one of my RUN CLINICS with triathlon coach Tanja Slater which was brilliant- we had a fantastic group who showed real focus and desire to improve, it was an absolute pleasure to lead the session.
The next session is in St Albans on the 8th November click here for details there are still spaces available.
I'm also very excited that I have been asked to be part of the GB coaching team for the European Cross Country Championships being held in Bulgaria in December, having run 11 European Cross Country Champs and 8 World Cross Country Champs it will be brilliant to see the other side of the coin and to support the athletes as they strive to achieve their goals. In my next blog I will be writing some tips for longevity in running.
